AFRODITE is the thesis project developed last year by the IED Design students Monica Albini, Cara Judd, and Benedetta Leonardi, in collaboration with TVS, one of the main international players in the production of aluminium cooking utensils.

As it is well-known, the most sublime cuisine is pure passion, cooperation, complicity, and allure. And this combination can explain the inspiration on which the line Afrodite is based. The Greek goodness of love, beauty and pleasure consecrates this set of pots – that have her name – and gives them a very special sensual look.

The three key elements of the collection, characterized by a very fascinating TVS red, interact to help us to experiment new tastes even by mixing them.

Afrodite Jug – casserole, Afrodite Pan – pot, and Afrodite Spoon – small casserole, encourage us to taste sauces, love-potions, and our favourite dishes by directly going to the source, and they are so beautiful that it is a pleasure to put them on the table.

Moreover, the range is enriched by a series of accessories: the gloves Mr. Champion & Lady Seductive Gloves, for him and for her; the pot holder-box What’s Inside? in whose pocket it is possible to put invitation cards or love letters; a pair of cutlery The Lovers: Mr Fork and Mrs Spoon, whose lines recall the formal contrast between the curvy sinuosity of a woman and the more angular one of a man .

Finally, there is a cookbook including sophisticated recipes with aphrodisiac ingredients that can be prepared by using the entire pot family.

Designed to translate the couple game into tastes, Afrodite is ideal for the intimate and seductive atmosphere of a romantic dinner. After all, isn’t it true that everyone is the “fruit” of an original sin of gluttony?
