Deriving its name from the Latin words enigma (“mystery”) and lignum (“wood”), the Enigmum VChair gracefully came out of the Joseph Walsh Studio, conveniently wrapped in a cloud of captivating elegance.
This one of a kind piece of furniture is made of olive ash (the darker, streaked heartwood found in some ash trees, resembling the wood of olive trees) and leather. It is hand carved with great precision, shaped by using several thin layers of wood and finally finished in white oil. Its most attractive parts are the two back legs which are dramatically twisted and merged into one foot – as seen in hair braiding.
The Enignum V Chair is a part of the Enignum chair series, while the same design studio offers a considerable number of other unique movables.
