Craig Ward

Originally hailing from the rural steppes of deepest Lincolnshire, Craig Ward is a London based designer and illustrator who likes playing with words. Having graduated in 2003 Craig Ward now trades under the pseudonym Words are Pictures; bringing life to headlines, creating new typographic treatments and continuously exploring the notion of word as image.

Craig Ward works in a variety of media from letterpress and linocut through to the purely digital and three dimensional with a client roster that now includes the likes of The New York Times, BMW, Ebay, The Economist and LloydsTSB amongst many others.
