Milan For the autumn/winter 09-10 season at Krizia, it is all about an “othermodern” elegance, as an homage to the artistic movement based on a globalised culture, saturated with signs and symbols. Tailored 50’s looks are intervened with a sort of rock n’ roll glamour, as graphic tweed and shimmering silk meets leather, and rectangular studded sequins.

Volumes are larger, more constructed, but also slender and delicate in silhouettes, with a continuous emphasize on the waist line. Materials are tweed, wools in jacquard knitwear, angora-cashmere, and varnish effect fabrics. Not to forget the fox fur collars, hoods, and shrugs.

Apart from the astonishing draped evening gowns, most memorable was the prints and knits of a panther head, as well as the accessories reminiscent of medieval chunky handcuffs, which oh-so-well contrasts Krizia’s otherwise oh-so-impeccable elegance.
