Milan For Laura Biagiotti autumn/winter 09-10, the collection is inspired by the founder of futurism, Giacomo Balla. The garments are energetic, with an “anti neutral ” theme, that proposes a new aesthetic code with focus on dynamics, asymmetry and playfulness. Patters, patchwork and ponchos rule the show in materials such as cashmere, velvet and chiffon, not to forget the explicit knitwear, which is an emblem of the brand itself.

Sculptured, such as art, forms are enriched by details and cuts, with an attention to shoulders for dresses, jackets, and blouses. Trousers are pleated, ranging from slim to wider forms, while skirts are knee length. Fur accentuates the futuristic influence and patchwork is also brought on to accessories.
The colour palette is both vibrant, and soft, as fuchsia, violet and saffron, is brought out by a bold black and an emerald green. While nudes of both crisp- and off white creates a more gentle impression. Flawless in graphics, Laura Biagiotti’s autumn/winter collection; is why the future, can’t arrive soon enough.
