Les Copains A/W ’09-’10
Milan Why change a winning concept? For A/W ’09-’10 Italian fashion house Les Copains stays true to its heritage and love for knits and cashmere, creating a collection for cold and rainy autumn days. The looks are chic, feminine with a fresh breath of nature and warm colours perfect for a day of shopping or a walk in the park.
Parkas inspired fur jackets and coats in wool are combined with dresses, knitted cardigans and scarves to create a layered and warm look. Dresses, skirts and tunics are short, form-fitted or balloon shaped and mainly in cashmere with the eveningwear in silver, creating a clear contrast to the daywear. The silhouette is slim and the waist is marked with belts or bands. A lot of focus is put on detailing with big buttons, zippers, interesting collars and the curve shaped platforms in various colours decorated with buckles.
Horizontal and vertical stripes are present throughout the collection and are seen in prints and knits as well as the multicoloured striped tights, adding some extra spice to the looks. The colours are mainly solid and grey, olive, mustard, midnight blue, black and cinnamon giving a taste of nature and the woods.
Les Copains, part of the “Made in Italy” tradition does what is expected of a collection for A/W by suggesting a covered up look suitable for chilly days and nights. Keeping warm doesn’t mean looking dull though, according to Les Copains knitted can be trés chic!
