HEMYCA
HEMYCA takes a woman’s perspective on fashion, incorporating work with leading architects to create wearable fashion
for real women.
HEMYCA started with good foundations, graduating from London College of Fashion, and working with some of the best:
Roland Mouret, Ben De Lisi and stores such as Zara, Mango and Topshop. The team Helen and Myra decided that their design talents were best expressed in fashion. Their love of creativity and ability to work in 3D, addressed the gap in the market for sexy, structured tailoring designed for real women. The decision to follow their passion has already led them to 2 successful shows at London Fashion week.
Hemyca’s designs are structural, innovative, sexy and wearable.
Their inspirations extend to all forms, with no limits:
architecture, landscapes, cities, a chapter in a book, films and strong female characters.
There dream project would be to continually adapt through collaboration with different designers or artists each season from all disciplines. This concept would always bring something new to the collections, as well as to stretch and challenge pre existing thoughts. HEMYCA would love to work with a visionary architect, or film producers to create wardrobes for the main character.
So far HEMYCA have achieved a lot, running their own business, being recognised for their hard work by Knowledge Connect winning funding, showing at London Fashion Week and doing what many veer away from, pursuing their dream.
With all the blood, sweat and tears they would not look back. What they would like to leave to the world is a legacy of great design, uniqueness and quality for real women.
