Model turned fashion designer Erin Wasson launched her first capsule line for surf and skate-inspired label RVCA last summer and became a big hit in no time. She signed a 3-year contract with the brand at the time and It’s now confirmed that she will be showing her new line during New York Fashion week in September later this year. This was all thanks to Maybelline where she’s one of the front-faces and Maybelline just took over as the biggest sponsors after cosmetic giant MAC stepped down.

Wasson described her first collection as tomboy-chic and the grungy floral dresses, biker jackets, worn out tees and the perfect faded denim really did confirm her talent. Her inspiration is a mix of the streets of New York and the beach culture in southern California. The fact that fashion mecca Opening Ceremony bought in her line, and sold out almost immediately, did give Erin a good start in the design world.
