Kanutos lounge chair

“One summer while living in the Dominican Republic I saw an artisan with a bundle of wicker. Those loose, wild, golden canes were the inspiration for my Kanutos lounge chair series. As usual I was in it for the challenge, which in this case was taming the rudimentary material.

By incorporating CNC machined parts and ability to flat pack the chairs, I was able to depart from the woven craftiness typically associated with wicker and create a few modern design pieces. In a near future I plan to play with wicker some more and extend the Kanutos line, any manufacturers want to help me?”
