Alviero Martini s/s 2010

Alviero Martini’s last collection celebrates 20 years with the Spring/Summer collection returning to the root. The collection had a touch of the golden and  noble lightness. Dresses, jackets, coats, shirt-dresses, waistcoats, trousers and bermudas was all on show. Martini didn’t miss out on anything. A great show with the colonial and safari theme that defines the entire collection in a very feminine and seductive way. The colours that appearead were those of the earth: green, camel, sand, turtle-dove grey and ivary.

Since the name of the line was “The journey”, it was very suitable to also show some travel bags in the renowned geo-print material. Each piece is unique and features slightly different prints. All the models had a classic make up with red lipstick and were dropped into a hyper-feminine shape. All this beauty was design oversized with washed silk, linen, and chiffon giving the collection a comfortable, fresh and soft look: the female desire of liberty. The accessories was everything from golden earings, state-ment necklaces, oversized belts in natural leather to golden sandals and high heels in gold,A inspiration for and to the woman with the pure and most refined elegance: the journey.
