Iain Crawford
Iain grew up in Africa and Malaysia and developed a passion for photography at an early age. On moving to London he worked as a account handler for Saatchi and Saatchi, but left to pursue his passion for photography. After assisting for some years he quickly established himself as successful beauty photographer Internationally spending several years based in New York and Paris
He loves to capture images that have a strong graphic and textural quality, often searching out the graphical symmetry in chaos, while still maintaining the personality and emotion of the subject. His career has lead him to shoot campaigns for many of the world’s top brands and receive commissions from a host of top international magazines.
Commenting on the paint shoot Iain says “I love the energy between the fusion of the model and the paint, is the model wearing a paint or is the paint wearing the model. The paint took on a life of its own, it was amazing to see all the astounding shapes the paint made as we took the images, it was a bit like cloud spotting or the ink blot test, you start seeing all sorts of strange shapes in the chaos of the paint, it sure was one messy couple of days !”
