Krizia s/s 2010
The Krizia s/s 2010 collection was named Cheerful Designs and we couldn’t come up with a better description of the designers latest collection. The dresses really did exude optimism, just as we were told. A party of colors, miles and miles of fabric and volumes was all over the place. And boy, I promise you that it was definitely in a positive way.
The forms of the dresses had gone through a re-construction and new, refined effects as loose swatches hung from the neck was present. The hemlines was going up and the shorts was going micro. It was about taking from underneath to share it with the top, let’s call it balance in the Italian sassy way. Details and plisses was turned upside down and we saw a lot of puffs and overlaid petals.
The only thing that went down, was the deep plunging neckline. A very central motive of the season. The dominating colors was ivory, oatmeal, caramel, rust and different shades of green (aqua, lime, bottle). Black was only used for contrast and we’re really happy about that. We loved the leather in combination with soft silk, crunchy taffeta, organza and sequins.
