Laura Biagiotti s/s 2010
First of all, I want to pay tribute to Laura Biagiotti for being a women of her own. Growing older with such an elegance and old-time European glamour must make her feel like a very special women. And she certanly is. This was the very first time for me to attend her show and she left me stunned, dreamingly and finding a new born respect for this adventures designer. Weather she is or not, that’s the picture I want to have of her. Today, she managed to bring back a sassyness that’s been lost for many years.
Her show was so 60’s jetset, I can’t even come up with a better way of describing it. She brought back memories of Emilio Pucci and rich, happy, Italian women on their way to their summer holiday. Biagiotti’s clothes are for happy and glamouros women seeking for fun. It’s about perfection without overdoing it. Colours without making them loose their charm and cuts you’ll never forget. Let’s face it, sometimes one picture, speaks more than a thousand words. Hats off for Laura and Lavinia Biagiotti.
