The Victoria Secrets Fashion show

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion show with their fierce angels is famous all over the world, and weeks before the show even takes place, there are always loads of speculations about who will walk the catwalk, the host, and even the performance artist. There is always great buzz around the VS show, and no wonder. Year after year, they manage to give us one spectacular show after show with a great theme, sexy models, sassy underwear, angel wings, and let’s not forget the million dollar bra! The thread that these shows always have in common has to be the fantastic dream-world fantasy underwear. Not only is it a fashion show, it’s a big event, a happening, followed by normal people all over the world via TV and internet. And currently, it is the only fashion show to be broadcasted on live network TV and always attracts millions, if not billions of people.

With the 35 leading top models of the world (always made-up to look like fantasy angels) strut down the runway to present the new Victoria’s Secret collection. They manage to create a craving for women all over the world; which is probably the leading reason for why the underwear chain has such high numbers of sales as well.

Many of the models take a break for one season, to give space for motherhood, but make a comeback the year after with no signs at all of a pregnancy. Adriana Lima, had to jump off the catwalk this year because of that reason, and Gisele Bundchen who’s normally out strutting it, decided to leave her wings behind. The big model talk of this year’s show was Australian model Miranda Kerr. She was also the chosen one to wear the $3 million Harlequin Fantasy Bra. The bra is designed by Damiani and adorned with over 2300 diamonds in different shades.

This year’s host, Heidi Klum, gave birth just before the show, and still she was fierce. She even surprised the audience by taking a turn down the runway. Hey, why not, when you have fans all over the world just dying to see you do what you do best!

The total cost of the show was $13 million including the Fantasy Bra. If there is a credit crisis over at VS they never heard of it.
