Spring Couture 2010: Armani Privé
Lack of gravity in Paris at Armani Privé. From the curviform cutting to the sheer circular organza dress everything is a lunar reference. The inspiration gets even more evident in the mother-of-pearl pins and in the extremely fine and luxurious jewelry.
The palette is tinged with soft metal and silver tones, while black and midnight blue represent the dark side of the moon. Its glow shines on the iridescent garments richly embroidered with glittering craters and accented by embellished clutches and satin court shoes.
Straight lines and geometries are distant memory. This season the spotlight is on romantic sinuous lines and curvy silhouettes, which, together with a perfect balance between femininity and the seriousness of the tailleurs, define a new futuristic elegance.
To finish this Armani fantasy, enchanting gowns hit the catwalk with their unexpected volumes and asymmetries. After 35 years of success, “King Giorgio” still astonishes us.
