Not only the one performed today was The fashion Show par excellence, but also it brought with it a brand new concept of chic, which redefines contemporary style and taste. Armani fall winter 2010 women will not wear a black skirt and a white shirt for the every day, always elegant, living. This one is an unexpectedly short but elegant female silhouette, that achieves confidence exploring, on dangerously high stilettos, a new world of nuance and shades, contrasts and interplays. And she is wearing the toque. All along the day, cut from tiny strips like a fringe.

Nothing approximate or uncertain is allowed on this catwalk: there is a precise approach to the lines, always fluid, perfectly demonstrated by the cape over a dress, the hip long caban and a new shape of jacket, with natural but square shoulders, fastened by hooks to create a soft wave effect. And as the music in Armani theatre grows, in a sensual crescendo from lounge to tribal, the colour palette changes from plain black to coral red and tibetan orange, to introduce a recovered vigour… and the roar of the white lion king of italian fashion: all eyes are captured from a marvellous total red sequence of outfits. Astonishing, vibrant and extremely classy.

Evening looks follow, sleek and simple as He always get us used to wear, but enriched by embellished fabrics, buttons like broches and jewel embroidery. Nobody of the presents will ever forget the sparkling pink light radiating from the pair of totally paillettes looks which enlightened the scene in the midst of the show, and the brilliant red evening beauty that followed.

And as a path of red light designed on the catwalk plays along with the last ladies till behind the curtains, the master appears in all his magnificience. Tidy, hands opened while he receives Armani Theatre standing ovation. Like a Pope, who is giving us a new significant lesson of sophisticated aesthetic. May you be blessed too, Giorgio Armani.
