Roberto Musso fall 2010 Milan
With the beating sound of drums, the Roberto Musso show started. Judging from the music, a tribal influenced look was expected to come down the runway but a punk-chic woman walked out in a tailored suit instead.
The colour palette was very romantic and sophisticated consisting of mauve, raspberry, cherry red and black. There were many tailored pieces and condensed silhouettes in the collection, like the men’s style coats, dresses and knee-length tube skirt made with felt flounces and edge-to-edge seams. There was also an element of sexiness like a shirt that was smartly cut in silk mousseline with opening on the arms and dresses with cut out shoulder revealing some skin. Evening wear was very romantic and sensual with black sheath dress in double silk mousseline that encloses a cascade of seven meters of pearls. Although the look was very minimal, quality and material was not compromised like coats made from angora, doubled and aged with salt.
“Less is more” was what Musso trying to convey through his collection and empowering strong women with elegance and poise.

the scrunched tights add so much to the simplistic pieces.
