Surfaces change and shapes evolve just like rocks in a constant metamorphosis. Gabriele Colangelo’s passion for fabrics focused on the erosion phenomenon, rocks, and minerals for his Fall/Winter collection.

Irregular pleats create marble motifs and micro crystals embellish the clothes like metallic sediments. The palette  varies from ice to charcoal gray with some beige and the fabric choice goes from melange wool and sheer fabrics to leather and double-face fur. Beautiful silk jacquards create stone-like patterns and gradients of color and fabric recall natures wonders.

The silhouette is soft and slightly oversized with belted waist. The skirts are asymmetrically structured, the collars are draped and wide and the sleeves are either rounded or not featuring. The whole look is accented by suede sandals and silver make-up.

In a fashion week all about outerwear, Gabriele Colangelo certainly played an important role and maintained our faith with his timeless elegance and refined taste. Still an up-and-comer?
