You can always count on the Japanese to have different cuts and interesting volumes to their garment. This is very prominent in the Tiny Dinosaur’s latest fall/winter collection. Seam lines for jackets were no longer on the side but more towards the front, origami pleatings were seen on the skirts and bell shaped dresses with whimsical prints and colours.

Fabric choices were very stimulating to the eyes for this season like the use of heavy matte leather, velvet, smooth wool, chiffon and cangiante fabrics. Designer, Naomi Yamamoto, also reinvented the traditional kimono and modernized it by making it shorter and using velvet. Length of Men’s shirt were also brought much lower looking almost like a dress in the same prints as the dresses.

With all the fedora hats seen in the show, it just want to make you start wearing everything with it when you go out.
