Iceberg spring 2011
Yet again, Iceberg displayed the perfect combination of chic and street style in his runway show. His 2011 Spring Menswear collection featured monotones of grey, black and brown. Polka dots and stripes dominated the show. In particular, the polka dot and striped scarves really carried an essence of Milan fashion. Although the colours were quite basic, Iceberg utilized this to create the perfect look for the season.
The numerous ways in which he used knitwear was most fascinating. Whether it was a wide-knit transparent shirt, or cardigan, the fashion in which they were cut was simply elegant and perfect for any occasion. The emphasis was definitely on the top part of the body. Iceberg used plain yet clean cut pants and shorts in various different colours and prints. Most of the pants were high-cut or had up-turned hems, contributing to the general casual feel of the show. Many featured white pinstripes and other classic prints, however the materials used were mesmorising and fitted the rest of the outfit perfectly. The over all look really added a summery feeling to the clothes.
The blazers and jackets were used in unison with knitwear featuring sleekly cut holes, to articulate the general casual style of his clothes. He simulated retro style jackets in very light colours, with a bleached look. A number of models were sporting large bags that mimicked this bleached effect. Iceberg has created another collection that unites many different styles to create a look that is suitable for any time and any place.
