Diane Von Furstenberg s/s 2011 N.Y.

Diane Von Furstenberg’s vision for next spring was bringing back memories of expensive safari trips and jet-sets in general. It was all about the patterns, bold statement patterns to lighter ethno ones was seen all over  the catwalk. Colors was bolder then we’re used to and the new wing-man/ designer Yvan Mispelaere gave the collection a bit more of European sting. A bit of tailoring to balance the smooth silhouette and the bold patterns gave the collection an over-all more polished look.

Signature DvF as the draping, wrapping, jumpsuits and caftans was all present. I can only support and give credit to a fashion house with clear ideas as DvF, but still without being afraid of changing and developing the brand without moving too far away from where they are and once begun. More edgy, a little bit tougher and just slightly, slightly better than before. Adorable clothing and I just can’t get my eyes off the amazing styling. Layered in perfection!
