Stellavie
Stellavie, a design manufacturer from Germany, uses unconventional materials for creating a unique light experience. Exclusive fine paper is employed for the outer lampshade, cast acrylic for the tailored mounting, and polystyrene is used as a light-diffusing inlay shade.
The large number of entirely self developed lampshades comes perfectly customized, from construction to design and carefully chosen patters. Inspiration arises from classic calligraphy, embroidery or even seductive detailed lace. One, being more exuberant, can opt for a swarm of beautiful butterflies or create a more vibrant atmosphere with a city skyline hitting the beat of its nightclubs. Playing with colors, the result shall exceed all typical expectation for a particular light encounter.
The love for the details and surprising ideas make these beautifully textured pieces of paper elegant and opulent. Combining new and old, the contrasting directions undertaken by these German graphic designers drives us to use the sintagma “pixel baroque” to best describe their pattern.
