Yukiko Hanai s/s 2011 Tokyo

Nothing screams spring more than exhilarating colors and floral patterns.  Yukiko Hanai, launched her Spring/Summer 2011 collection at Japan’s Fashion Week in Tokyo last week.

The collection includes an outfit for every occasion of the season, ranging from belted bohemian pants and chic blazers to elegant floral dresses and free flowing gowns.  Yet the all encompassing range manages to maintain a constant “summer breeze” with Hanai’s delicate choice of colors.  The bold brights and the pure pastels and whites clearly mark the transformation from Hanai’s Autumn/Winter Collection, which blended strikingly progressive designs with traditional winter colors.

Hanai’s versatility is not unique to her new collection.  Her wide array of designs in skin care products, clothing and accessories have made her a success not just in Tokyo but have carried her designs all over the world, including New York’s Saks Fifth Avenue and other trendy department stores.
