Lanvin for H&M

H&M has long been the trademark for affordable fashion but they are really starting to live up to their reputation with the soon to be released Lanvin collection.

The runway show was held at the Pierre Hotel in New York last night.  Guests included Anna Sui, Emma Roberts, Tory Burch, Andie Macdowell and Alexander Wang among others.  The hotel was decked with greenery, including an archway made of flowers leading to the runway.  The basement of the hotel was turned into a boutique where attendees had the chance to purchase their favorite outfits.

The women’s collection dresses are in beautiful floral patterns and bold colors.  For those of us looking for something a little less bold, the line includes show-stopping black dresses and blazers. The collection is complete with leopard print clutches and tights, bow-tied pumps and must-have shades.   The menswear collection was designed by Lucas Ossendrijver, menswear designer at Lanvin, and includes everything from basic cardigans to metallic purple shoes.  He manages to use traditional concepts with an alternative spin without losing the elegance of collection. The collection embodies Lanvin’s true designs, with everything from its innovative cuts to high quality fabrics.

The collection will launch in stores tomorrow, the 20th of November, in the US and Canada and on the 23rd in the rest of the world.  The collection will be available in 200 stores worldwide but don’t be fooled by this number – the launch of Jimmy Choo’s collection last year should have taught fashion fiends a lesson.  With Lanvin shoes selling at only $99, you’re going to need to hit the stores early!

Happy shopping ladies and gentlemen.
