Victoria Secret fashion show 2010
While winter was hopelessly knocking on the doors of the Lexington Avenue Armory in New York City, the mercury inside was taking giant strides up with every pair of long, long, seriously long legs on display! The occasion was none other than the Victoria Secret Fashion Show as a ‘Night of a Thousand Fantasies’ unravelled in spectacular fashion with the most beautiful in the business. The wings were back on the ramp as Adriana Lima opened a night of lingerie committed to cleavage and legs!
The atmosphere was on the prowl, never settled and provided unique backdrops for the six different types of women; tough love, game on, country girls, heavenly bodies, wild things and pink. The wings moved in unison with the ambience and exhibited the normal and creative to the downright strange. But the aggregate was hot wings all round (no pun intended!). The ‘Bombshell Fantasy Bra’, encrusted with 3000 jewels, checked in at a cool $ 2 million (the ‘cheapest’ since 1996; looks like the recession had the last laugh; again).
The pieces oozed sex appeal on all levels; completely lacking in tangible materials yet so wholesome and the desire of millions. With Katy Perry and Akon providing the music glitz, it was a ‘Night of a Thousand Fantasies’ indeed (at least for the men!).
