Andrea Massari

Andrea Massari, Italian born artist, spent his childhood in Sao Paulo Brasil, gaining a better understanding of nature. Characterized by duality in many aspects of his life, Andrea is both a painter and a photographer. He, himself, declared to be charmed by creators such as Miro, Picasso, Lichtenstein and Pollock, but also by great masters of photography such as Sieff or Avedon, which marked his own creative expression.

Naturalness filtered through a realistic prism represents the lifeblood of his work. In his photographs, he takes a lot of advantage of the natural sun light in order to reveal certain characteristics, elegant nuances and to underline his realistic approach.

He dismisses from the start the hypostasis of following trends and tendencies. He does admit to use them as sources of inspiration, without transforming any in a treacherous matter.

Spending many hours working as an illustrator, Andrea allowed himself great precision and attention to details.  Relaying on this approach he gained  great capacity of polishing his work through sartorial capacity, which is of utter importance in delivering great pictures.

We all know details are the ones that make the difference in life; otherwise everything would be an infinite spiral of similar happenings. Consequently, Massari’s work is genuinely special and worth analyzing with attention.
