“A” is the first letter of the alphabet.

“A” for sure, is most frequent sound people emitted when they saw the motor yacht “A”.

Built by Blohm + Voss – shipyard of extraordinary yachts – the motor yacht “A” is an un-conventional superyacht. It’s quite impossible to describe every thing that exists on this yacht. It could be a good idea, to help to understand, to know the name of designer :  Philippe Starck.

The hull refers to submarine shape and the external sign – of the line – is so free that it adds elegance to the prow. Is not our intention to describe in traditional way this yacht. In fact we will write a list, with some curious details, that will make you willing to find out more:

-  The most prestigious accommodation is of course the master suite…. but the door opens only by reading fingerprints!

-  Every tap costs over $ 40,000, in the bathroom of this suite .

- The chair of Michel Haillard in that unique site, is lined with crocodile skin.

- There are  two special tenders ,11m unique, the Open and the Limo models (designed by Stark)

- The yacht has a “garage” for boats and helicopters, but that could be changing – as necessary -  to become  disco, or  heliport.

Note. A owner is A. Melnichenko – when it was launched – it was 3 feet longer than the third yacht of R. Abramovic (Pelorus)  … might be a coincidence…. but after this yacht, R. Ambramovic  has bought the new yacht “Eclipse” 187 meters long……
