The Pod Pavilion by Studio Nicoletti Associati

New urban center “Pod Pavilion” is being developed in the area of Petaling Jaya, to the west of Kuala Lumpur. The creator of this landmark is Studio Nicoletti Association. The philosophy of this studio is “to conceive building design is the result of organic growth from a specific context. A context is both the humans (the fertile soil) and the row material of any architectural conception”. Indeed, water drops inspired architect Manfredi Nicoletti to design the pavilion.

Soft shapes of “Pod Pavilion” are made with the help of elliptical structures of different widths and heights. Gaps between these structures form windows apertures which thanks to its shape convey soft sun light.

Pod Pavilion is fabricated of tubular steel elements with external covering of the sun reflection material. The color of the building changes according to the location of the sun. Around the pavilion one can find greenery and water pool.

The idea of the Studio Nicoletti was to place inside its on-site offices and sales showroom since the creation absolutely reflects its philosophy and mission.

The Pod Pavilion is stated for completion in December 2010.
