Andrée Wallin

Whoever is familiar with „Napoleon: Total War“ has already encountered the marvelous art of Andrée Wallin. The 28-year old talented digitalpainter from Sweden started off by studying 3D at school, then became involved with RealtimeUK as a concept artist and ended up as a freelancer today. Production Art, Concept Art and Matte Painting are major services he offers which have been in demand by about 14 companies, mostly from the US and the UK. Among these clients we find Atlas Entertainment and the Moving Picture Company for example.

Wallin already contributed to cinematic trailers and other cinematic projects as well as to a graphic novel in 2009/2010. With the use of a Wacom Intuos A5 tablet he integrates photos of a diversity of objects and brushes, while several so called alpha layers make up the 3D effect. These photo manipulations turn out in an amazingly realistic and authentic way.

The young artist’s Concept Art and Matte Paintings remind us of the beautiful and phenomenal Lord of the Rings scenery or they represent robot-like characters à la transformers. Often we get thrown into a futuristic and scientific context with numerous fine details spread over the artwork. Landscapes, city skylines, ghettos or specific districts seem to play a major role in Wallin’s designs.

We are looking forward to see Andrée Wallin getting involved in further projects in the future.
