Coffee Chair
Coffee Chair personifies an imaginative combination of widely recognized objects and furniture, giving a form of apparent imitation of coffee cup sitting on a saucer shadow. It is outstanding as its name suggests-a good coffee is not an alternative, it is a privilege.
With its simple and, in the same time, unique shape, the designer Sunhan Kwon of HeWasBorn sends us a message and an invitation to an ‘out of ordinary’ experience of enjoying coffee. That is the feature which makes it significant: it gives a sole pleasure of drinking coffee regardless of the place and time.
Made from wood veneer and available in traditional colors-black, white and neutral-the Coffee Chair gratifies its owners and users with its simplicity and originality. The backrest consists of a handle that embellishes and completes the chair’s individuality, and ‘kills’ the general design of a symmetrical side chair.
Freedom to create this up-to-date and pure design just proves that simplicity is always in style but with a goal of creating a new generation of furniture.
