Ingrid Vlasov
A sensual woman, wearing a long fluid silk and veil dress passes by, leaving behind an allure of romanticism and mysticism.
It’s the woman created by Ingrid Vlaslov, one of the most famous fashion designers in Romania, which after having studied in Rome at the Istituto Europeo di Design and in Bucharest for scenography and interior design, launched her own brand in 1997 at national level. From Romanian and Russian origins, her parents opened an atelier in 1990 and from then on her relationship with creativity and fashion started.
Her creations are feminine, delicate and graceful, she defines each dress as a poem, in which the use of lace and the soft materials, tell the story of a woman which is seductive without constrains, but without the need of showing off.
The FW Collection 2011/2012 is characterized by the idea of contrast, expressed in the colors black and white, in the soft and hard materials, in the mini and maxi shapes. The floor length gowns, with overlapping of transparent fabrics are decorated by embroidered traditional patterns, which cover also the adherent tops, and look like tattoos or jewels on the skin.Geometric zigzag shapes interlace on dresses and pantsuits, and are complemented by elbow length glows and knees length stocks, making the whole image slightly gothic and medieval.
Ingrid Vlaslov tries to represent the oneiric and spiritual side of beauty, using patterns as concentric circles which highlight the color contrast between the beige of the background and the black contours of the designs.
She describes her own life as a dreamy journey, which led her in 2009 to the prêt- a- porter catwalks in Paris, a definitive turnaround for her international career, and which has many other ways to go, which she enjoys regardless of the final destination.Recently the brand has been published by many international magazines, as L’Officiel, it is sold in famous stores as Maria Luisa in Paris, and the creations are worn by artists as Lady Gaga.
