Pepa Pombo

In the world of Pepa Pombo, textile designer of Colombian origins, every idea is translated in a three- dimensional knitwear creation, where the overlapping of lines and bindings on the knitted base, seem to embrace the body like a second skin.

Since the 1970s Pepa Pombo successfully combines her natural talent with her studies in art and textile, to experiment new and innovative techniques for knitting.

This passion made her one of the most significant designers in Latin America, exporting her creations all around the world, from Paris to Italy, to us to Saudi Arabia.

The final result is an excellent craftsmanship that looks effortless, as the woman she represents, which is sophisticated but relaxed. Today the daughter, Monica Holgium , contributes to the brand by adding a more basic collection of the same exquisite quality.

On the brand’s  latest fashion show in Medellin , Colombia, beautiful and contemporary women run the catwalk wearing smooth dresses, as well as tunics , pants and overcoats, all characterised by soft knitted materials, as cintilla and silk , in natural colours as sand, mustard, purple and light brown.

The total effect is incredibly luminous and sensual, as the shapes caress the body like a light breeze, making every outfit elegant but practical at the same time. The skirts and tops are decorated with graphic patterns, as large stripes and flowers, a set of unique details which make the creations even more precious and detailed. Additional threads, embroidered by hand, produce transparencies and movement.

The woman of Pepa Pombo, as the designer herself, has a fresh and colourful personality; she walks down the streets of Bogota’ confident and elegant, at ease in every situation and with a hint of spontaneity and humour.
