Audi urban concept

Audi has always been a symbol of high quality and advanced technology. His ‘Audi Urban Concept’ does nothing but confirm this. The prototype, unofficially renamed E1 E-tron, is a two-seater ultra-light electric car for congested urban spaces. It has revolutionary and completely different characteristics compared to other cars. The company with the four rings presents this project saying that it is the perfect combination of a racing car and an urban car. The E1 E-tron is a totally new project, it is not based on any previous model – its development is solely oriented on the strict principles of lightweight construction, efficiency and reduction.

On board there is room for two people, their position is slightly staggered and at a low level. All controls and materials are subject to the dictates of ultra-lightweight construction in order to ensure that the sensory experience they convey is unique and compelling. Besides the Sportback model, Audi is going to present also a Spyder variant. Characteristic features of the latter are its low, continuous window and its doors that open on the top.

The propulsion is provided by two E-tron motors, which allow it to accelerate powerfully (0-100km/h in 16.9 seconds, that is a really good performance for an electric car!). Having said that, Audi has once again surprised everyone with this prototype, that reflects in full the brand’s capability to innovate having an eye on the environment.
