Phuong My

Phuong My is a Vietnamese designer that fabricates dreams through her designs. She creates garments that bear a particular uniqueness that can, however, be easily differentiated by events. Phuong my’s objective, beneath each carefully selected thread, is to ultimately inspire women by reawakening their feminine soul and individuality. She creates stunningly beautiful and womanly dresses with just the right amount of eclectic for any woman.

Phuong My is already a familiar name in the business of fashion. After establishing her popularity in Asia, she went abroad leaving an imprint on American fashion capitals such as San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City.

My’s creations are very distinctive and grand, whilst offering a fresh outlook on haute couture. Her spring 2012 collection has taken inspiration from the Spanish artist, Diego Velazquez. Carefully-tailored and entertaining silhouettes define the coming season with a delicate pastel palette featuring blush, sea foam, and a delicate teal, and with touches of eclectic ivories and blacks.
The collection is composed by remarkable dresses, with immaculate tailoring and round, exaggerated hips to reminisce Velasquez’s royal princesses. Although all of My’s designs are highly sophisticated, they do have a delicate sensual touch: attention is constantly drawn to the carefully-bared collarbone and shoulders. However, My also includes ironic headpieces, and declares a love for ribbons: whether it’s embellishing an enormous one a dress or laying two glittered bows on satin shoes.

My’s designs are an unadulterated view into the designer’s insight about fashion and women. Her elegant, yet playful pieces are wonderful designs that can transform any woman into an instant diva.
