Toyota Fun-Vii

At the Tokyo Motor Show 2011, Toyota presented the prototype of a new vehicle, the Fun-Vii, described as a “Smartphone on four wheels”, which is a car that try to be also a platform of services designed all around the driver and the passengers. With its modern and sleek lines Fun-Vii, just over 4 meters long and 1,75 meters wide, is definitely something more than just a vehicle. The car concept has in fact, users are at its center offering a series of services to which the owner and the passengers can access in a very easy and intuitive way.

The exterior and interior part can be used as a display, modifying colors and contents according to the needs and having, therefore, a new color for the entire vehicle in just few touches. Also the navigation system provide two very interesting features, such as augmented reality and the “navigation concierge”, which through a vocal interface assists the needs of the users.

But the range of action of the new Toyota product is not limited to the internal part, but several functions are made available and accessible also in remote through electronic devices like Smartphone. In addition to this, we find the updating function that makes possible having always the latest version of the guide, control and multimedia system. Furthermore, the vehicle offer the chance to connect with the other surrounding cars, to detect possible hazards in advance or to connect with friends located in the proximity.
