BCBG Max Azria AW 2012

New York has been called the city of light, and defined as novel, fast-paced and contemporary. Everything that is above and below these noisy streets transmit a unique flux of emotions, dedication and talent that go beyond words. This undying concept is perfectly reflected in BCBG Max Azia’s latest collection, Fall 2012. Inspired by Bauhaus and geometrical abstractions, Max and Ludov Azria captured the sense and feeling of that particular time period and translated it in looks that take us back to the seventies.

Predominantly geometrical and infused with their ever-constant color blocking, the collection features outdated styles in an innovative and fresh way. The outfits came out one by one, fitted with loosely relaxed:  belted trenches, wide-legged flared trousers, and-mid length and paneled dresses; in the form for flared pleats, or straight cuts. The idea of color blocking, which has been a recurring topic within the fashion house’s repertoire, has finally been perfected with the colorful contrasting pleats – something that doesn’t bring to mind BCBG Max Azria as we know it, but that definitely pleasantly surprises the audience.

Relentlessly elegant and perfectly shaped clothing meet the aura of relaxation and the simple joy of American sportswear that defined the 70’s in New York. Precisely immaculate and surprising as New York – BCBG Max Azria’s conception of our fall wardrobe is definitely fit for the easygoing working woman whom refuses to give up on chic.
