Mattijs van Bergen for United Nude

The “Crown Prince of Dutch Fashion”, Mattijs van Bergen, is a mastermind when it comes to designing clothes that are infused with precise tailoring and exquisite feminine designs. However, this year the designer turned to United Nude again for their third joint collaboration which produced an exciting limited edition collection ready for spring 2012.

United Nude is known for collaborating with great innovative designers like Mattijs, Iris van Herpen, Antoine Peters and so forth, to create shoes that remind us about the imporatance of imagination.

The shoes for Mattijs are fabricated either out of metallic leather or kid suede or nappa, and come in six interesting colors, black, navy, green copper, gold and mint green. The shape and details are clearly the most distinctive aspects of the shoe. The extremely feminine cuts of the peep toe and upon foot, contrast the armor-like shield around the ankle. The colors and the fan-like details seem to romance the idea of a future underwater world, fit for sirens and ladies all the same.
