O’Pati
The O’Pati, the latest luxury offering from the Greece-based Golden Yachts company, is sure to turn heads on the high seas–but these double takes could be ones of confusion as much as awe. Upon first impression, this 40 meter vessel could be mistaken as part of an army’s naval fleet, albeit a very stylish addition. With its sleek black exterior and sharply pointed and tapered hull, the O’Pati looks like it could charge into battle and leave destruction in its path, despite its top speeds of 32 knots. Who wouldn’t want that in their waterborne vacation space?
However, instead of radar panels or mounted artillery, the yacht is plastered with sumptuous amenities that many homes around the world would only dream of having. The grand aft deck has a dining area at one end that seats up to eight people, and a sun-bed at the other end that is larger then a typical studio apartments on New York’s Lower East Side, solidifying this yacht’s position as a dream status symbol for aspiring billionaires everywhere.
The yacht, after all, would be the perfect place to host intimate (or more raucous) parties for friends. Imagine owning this behemoth of a status statement, and guiding your friends around the place: lead them inside the boat to the dining space, bar, and lounge inside the yacht, all constructed of the highest-quality wood, leather, and fabrics. The bragging points are endless–casually mention that the interior was designed by the Italian firm Giorgio Vafiadis & Associates, and watch jaws drop. Afterwards, lead your friends (the boat can host up to twelve people) to their accommodations, with its pearlescent muted palette and sumptuous beds.
This yacht has set the bar high for intimidating luxury, and the price is even higher. Charter rates start from 85,000 euro weekly during the off-season, and up to 108,000 euro during the peak season, not including taxes.
