Honda Concept S

The star of Honda’s 2012 Beijing Motor Show booth is the Concept S minivan, an exquisite offer for a new-value passenger mover. According to the Japanese carmaker, the  °S° stands for “Stylish”, “Smart” and “Surprise”. The concept model combines the fun elements of driving and environmental friendliness beneath a classy, elegant cover. Both gasoline and hybrid options are a likely scenario, though we will have to wait until the production version, which is to be introduced next year.

The design of the car looks pretty daring with sharp line striking down each side and a chic, catchy face. The spindly wheels and red brake calipers give it a sportier race car spirit, while the shape and soft electro-green color remind us

of an intergalactic spaceship. The concept model gives a glimpse of the mass production plans of the company for the coming years. We are yet to see if the combination of futuristic design, eco-friendliness and a bold look will be appreciated by users. The primary target market is China (production was handled by teams both in China and Japan) but the product is obviously aimed at a global audience.
