Becker GmbH

Becker GmbH was an iconic firm based in Karlsbad (Germany), one of the first businesses early in the 40s to produce some of the earliest car radios. The company started working in the US in the 70s, serving the needs of the high end automotive firm Angelenos. In 1996, Harman International, a US industrial giant moved into the automotive electronics business by acquiring Becker GmbH winning a bidding war against Bose. After its acquisition, the Harman Becker Automotive Systems group, provided automakers with both audio systems leveraging Harman’s stable of consumer brands, as well as infotainment systems pioneered by Mr. Becker.

Today, Becker Automotive Design is one of the finest automotive interior designers, selling little transportation jewels to celebrities, dignitaries and major entertainment  companies. The Executive Cadillac Escalade (in partnership with General Motors) and the JetVan (in partnership with Mercedes-Benz) are the glories of the company. The latter won numerous prizes and citations: The New York Times, USA Today, Motor Trend magazine, and The Robb Report have acknowledged Becker Automotive as a world leader in its field.

Becker Automotive Design represented, from the very beginning of its history, the synergy between luxury and style, comfort and electronics. Beckers’s mission is now to exceed expectations in the innovation and production of useful and luxurious private transportation. What led it to be many steps ahead of the competition is its numerous years of experience, its sound knowledge of the latest technologies and design engineering, the outstanding quality of materials used and the unique craftsmanship capabilities.

If you are cool like Johnny Depp, irreverent like Eminem or Dr. Dre, if you can rap like Snoop Dogg or if you’re hilarious like Eddie Murphy, and even if you are none of these things, you can still aspire to have one of Becker’s gems: just like a Hollywood diva, and ensure that no trip will be “just a journey”.
