Piazza Sempione

It is no secret that it is difficult to succeed in the fashion industry when competing with much secular fashion houses. (Especially those with a history that began, sometimes, a century ago). However, the market will always save room for quality, elegance and the timeless combination of what is traditional and modern. These epithets are exactly the essence and philosophy of the Italian brand Piazza Sempione- and it has been so for over 20 years.

Piazza Sempione was founded by the spouses Marisa Guerrizio and Roberto Monti in 1990. Only a year later, the brand’s first collection was presented in Milan. Since then, and within each subsequent season, the technique of mixing Italian sartorial tradition with technology and progressive approach has been confirmed. The company’s headquarters are located in Milan, where it all began, and from there the brand has slowly spread to other parts of the world (New York, Düsseldorf, London, Tokyo). Distinctive Italian style was transferred outside the country with the opening of their showrooms and offices globally.

The company maintains its good reputation by using sophisticated and high quality materials in the production of womenswear and fashion accessories. Colors and textures are chosen so that collections retain the classic style which is adapted to fashion trends at the moment. For instance, the S/S 2012 abounded in elegant minimalism and monochromatic hues on the one hand, and contrasting graphic patterns on the other hand. Subsequently, the Fall 2012 collection, showcased during Milan fashion week, brought back femininity seen through graphic prints and geometric shapes. Embelishments of leather, tulle, sequin and mink fur further emphasized the feminine silhouette. Even last year’s jubilee was celebrated with the 20th Anniversary Capsule Collection with its refined elegance, defined shapes and soft color palette.

Piazza Sempione’s design guarantees durability and clothing that fits perfectly. From season to season, the brand has been proudly presenting its vision of sensuality and luxury with the ”little help” from delicate fabrics.
