Emporio Armani Milan Fashion Week S/S 2013

During fashion week it’s easy to get lost in the myriad of textures, fabrics and styles. But when fashion returns  to simplicity, it can not go unnoticed for long. And is here that we find Mr. Armani and his line Emporio Armani. This SS2013 represents the balance between minimalism, femininity and the exclamation “Oh my, I need every single piece of this collection”.

Neat is a parade of garments that shows a chic, natural and simple woman, without excesses or frivolities. The palette used is very neutral –from camel to cognac, to gold, bronze and pastel pink with splashes of black, white and Prince of Wales. Despite the fact that the cut of the clothes recall somehow men’s clothing, the collection had a truly feminine feel thanks to the draped and layered pieces that softly caress the feminine body.

Armani wanted to dress his woman with day-clothes that after sunset become iridescent. Like a natural make-up that illuminates the face, ‘Neat’ wants to make you shine with strapless tops and over-the-knee dresses. The collection is fresh and dynamic and satin and silk are the masters. During the day, Armani’s woman wears a mannish suit with a fluid line, highlighted by matte silk –the pants are straight and smooth and tight at the bottom, jackets have regular shoulders and a barely marked waist. Down the catwalk models wear matching  skirts, shorts and tops in the same color and fabric. The knitwear is flowing and passes a youthful vibe. To emphasize the sense of action, an extra large foulard is held to the neck by a crescent moon metallic accessory.

Speaking of, accessories really caught the eye at Emporio Armani with mirrored details in gold and silver. Shoes go from flats to silver-capped pointed slingback stilettos and sandals with a strong heel and straps. Armani suggests bags with handles in two sizes in the daytime and clutches gripped in palm with its strap hanging loose almost forming a trail for a casual night out.

This collection surprised with its freshness and portability, these are the garments that every woman wants in her closet.
