Toubkal by Mub Design

Mub Design is the Paris based design studio of Mahjoub El Mahmoudi. Mub lives and works in the city of lights and his sphere of activity embraces a wide range of projects from the creation of small objects to architecture. The passion for the arts and his multicultural background are the source of  his inspiration.

Toubkal armchair is a perfect example of how cultural heritage is a central part of the designer inspiration. The armchair is, indeed, directly inspired by the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains and in North Africa, “Le Jibel Toubkal”( the mountain of Toubkal), located at 63 Km south from Marrakech.

The sharp and sleek lines of the armchair are able to instantly recall us the magnificence and the solidity of these mountains. In addition to this, its particular and elegant shape makes Toubkal suitable for different ambiances and the possibility to choose between two versions, in leather or in tissue, makes it even more adaptable to different tastes and occasions.
