Nest Lounge Chair by Autoban

Exceptional, exotic and amusingly cozy – the Nest Lounge Chair is a great example of an unconventional approach to the development of a chair. From its unique structure comes the convenient feature of being able to hide out in the shell-like surrounding and feeling close to your earliest moments.

As the name suggests, the inspiration for this product was taken form a decorative birdcage, offering the sitter a place of privacy and isolation whilst not making any compromises when it comes to light. The high back and sides with the rounded dome top are constructed with vertical slats so that one can easily enjoy a book without feeling like being in a cage.

Created by “Autoban”, an Istanbul based design studio who is developing architectural and interior projects along with product designs that engage issues of creativity and knowledge, realism and imagination, function and culture, “Nest” is one of the modern and at the same time experimental pieces of their extensive and innovative product lines.
