Lilia Poustovit Moscow AW 2013

Françoise Hardy is the inspiring muse of Lilia Poustovit’s Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 - perhaps not a striking beauty, for sure an exquisite and iconic romantic mix of intelligent eccentricity, elegance and boho sex-appeal.

A collection constructed around the ideas of a 60s silhouette with brain, heart and an impeccable sense of style and the memory of a Tbilisi song-full night during which the designer assisted to a concert of Georgian national romances and jazz improvisations, both painted in shades of blue, green, red, black, grey and beige-pink. Prints are a combination of polka-dot and a net – an harmonic contrast between a naive pattern and precise graphical lines, on a background of tender pastel and deep colors.

Poustovit collection, perhaps one of the best of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Russia, features light and natural volumes, clear lines and of course the branded long girlish dress made of silk and wool crepe, combined with coats in cashmere and jersey. Decades later, Hardy is still hitting all the right notes in the heart of this Ukrainian designer that replies with all the right tones.
