Lamborghini Egoista
The name of this concept car is already capable to unveil its nature, The Lamborghini Egoista (“selfish” in English) is indeed all about pleasing the driver from both an aesthetic and performance point of view.
The car is created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Lamborghini and designed by Walter De Silva. The Egoista features a single-seat cabin and the inspiration for the interior comes from Apache helicopters, which can eject the cockpit in case of emergency.
The cockpit, which comes in bright orange, is completely customized for the driver, it can be removed from the rest of the car and it is completed with a head-up display. In addition to this, Lamborghini provide a variety of marker lights, like the ones used on aircraft, on the exterior to further develop the aviation inspired design.
The car is all around the driver and a 600-horsepower comes from a modified 5.2-liter V-10 engine. The Egoista doesn’t feature a door, the driver needs, in fact, to climb over the bodywork to get to the opening roof and get inside. Lamborghini also provided the car with active aerodynamic aids, including a variety of flaps that open and close accordingly to the driving conditions.
