A new coffee shop called “Elephant Grounds” has been opened in Hong Kong recently. JJA / Bespoke Architecture presents us a perfect place for coffee lovers. The main idea of this place is people’s interaction and communication with the street life.
The corner site of the shop is transformed by using warm materials and emphasizing indoor-outdoor engagement. The entrance has been pushed back for almost 4 feet to allow visitors enjoy the outdoors and give it an Al Fresco atmosphere. Besides, the windows can be opened up, so the people could sit on the window sills and interact with the city.
In case of a bad weather, there are different suggestions for the visitors. There are lots of seating and a bar area inside. The interior design of the coffee shop reminds nature. Wood is the main material here, which contrasts with black window frames and different white details.
Coffee shop ‘Elephant Grounds’ is a perfect place for a summer gathering, where you can interact and communicate with different people enjoying delicious coffee.
