About Johan Ku
Johan Ku was born in Taipei in 1979. He began his career as a graphic designer when he was 17 years old. His design studio was established in 2005 after he had completed a Master's course in fashion and textile. His "Emotional Sculpture" collection, won Gen Art's Design Vision Avant Garde award in New York in December 2009 whilst he was studying for an MA in fashion at Central Saint Martins. His signature design is sculpture-like silhouettes with unique textiles and extreme chunky knitwear.
