DMY International Design Festival Berlin, June 11 – 14, 2015
The motto of the 13. Edition of the DMY International Design Festival Berlin is „Back to the Future“. This implies a step „back to the roots“ while at the same time moving towards a further development of the festival content. New exhibition moduli, a new internet address, more content and last but not least, a change of location all promise to make this year´s festival a very exciting event. With a new competition and more attractive general conditions, DMY puts an increased focus on the new talent. The introduction of a professional visitors´day aims to promote and enhance exchange within the design business. On site, design afficionados are offered the opportunity to purchase design objects in the DMY store. A special focus is dedicated to Berlin as a design location.
The DMY International Design Festival Berlin is the most important non-subsidized event in the field of product design in Germany. Every year, national and international designers present their current products, prototypes, installations, and projects.
Here are the three most important innovations for this year:
New: Website
We are excited to have a new location online. The new festival website has just be launched. Here you will all information with respect to the festival on www.dmy2015.com.
New: Venue
We also have a new location in real life: the festival will take place at Kraftwerk Berlin.
Situated very conveniently on Köpenicker Straße in the district of Berlin-Mitte, this is a place for events and exhibitions since 1997 in the decommissioned southern wing of the heat and power plant. The venue offers a total of 8,000 sqm exhibition space on three levels.
