New Zealand Fashion Week
New Zealand Fashion Week, staged at Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour Marine Village, is the country’s premier fashion event – a week of Autumn/Winter Shows from New Zealand’s unique and exciting designers.
While Fashion Week is traditionally for those involved in the fashion industry, the Designer Selection Show and New Zealand Fashion Weekend – with its associated Designer Garage Sale – ensure that everyone can be part of the glitz and glamour of this eye-catching and alluring event.
The Designer Selection Show, an extravaganza of fashion, music and lights is the biggest show of New Zealand Fashion Week with each designer showing their favourite pieces from their new 2011/2012 Spring/Summer range plus a preview outfit from their 2012 Autumn/Winter range.
New Zealand Fashion Weekend is a celebration of a year’s worth of fashion – catwalk shows, art and beauty showcases, live musicians and DJs, food and wine – all coming together for one action-packed weekend.
Several of the Designer Selection Shows are staged at Fashion Weekend, as is the New Generation Show featuring New Zealand’s top young designers, and the Designer Garage Sale – your chance to bag some serious designer-gear bargains.
All designers’ shows feature on the many screens around the venue so sit back, chill out in style, and enjoy the show!
